お久しぶりです!!
So sorry about the absence as of late. Been so busy with working and sleeping at normal hours that I haven't had time to update proper. Which means I slowly start forgetting the details of certain
pictures...( ノ゚Д゚)すまん

So I'll try to make it up with this photo of Belle, her face just begs for forgiveness~~

Anyway, since I've been taking photos like a madman without doing any updating, I was forced to start a list of what to write about lest I forget. Today's main topics will be:
★Photos from my trip to work (I work in 4 different cities, only 2 cities today)
★Pics from a recent shopping trip to Suzuka AEON Mall
★A food post from the restaurant Pizzeria la Montagna

Feel free to skip whatever topic you like as it may be boring at times~ You've been warned!
ド━(゚Д゚)━ ン !!!

The first shopping center I work in is called ARURU. It used to be called Diamond City (many people still call it that) and I think it's the largest shopping center in either Nara or the Kansai area, I'm not sure. Anyway, it's big.

It's pretty far from where I live, and costs about $22 round-trip to get to work and home, luckily I only go there a few times a month (and I reimbursed for travel costs!)(;´Д`)l \ァ l \ァ

But the worst part about working here is... it's a gigantic shopping center, and I love shopping. I'm probably borderline shop-a-holic
( TДT)

And there was a sale going on my first time here...

I guess this is life's cruel way of trying to teach me to be patient with my shopping..

One of the days I was there, there was a camera crew setting up for what looked like a segment on yukata for this summer. I just snapped this photo of them real quick while waiting for them to open this huge metal door so I could go to work.

They were outside the JUSCO for this, which has become one of my favorite places to waste time. It's like my Japanese target, so many great things to buy( *‘∀‘ )ノ .

I used to make fun of JUSCO after watching 下妻物語(Kamikaze Girls), but.. seriously... How can you not shop there? Don't knock it til you try it lol.

Some bento boxes I was looking at for carrying my lunch. I usually only take an onigiri, then buy some chicken (from JUSCO lol) so I thought this angry onigiri case would fit well.

This was inside JUSCO(●´-`●) I like the angry faces better than the happy one Lol.

The next shopping center is actually the JUSCO in my city (JUSCOs are owned by AEON I think). There isn't a bus that takes me to it, so I have to walk for about 20 minutes from the stop (the summer heat makes it feel much much longer(´Д`υ)アツィ).

This is one of the shady areas I can walk through to get there, which usually allows a nice breeze to come through, but I've also had spiders fall on me while walking through here
(|| ゚Д゚)トラウマー Not cool...

I pass this little spot on my way too. Looks like some sacred tree and I'm so curious about it!! But I can't read the sign... Damnit...
(・_・。)グスン

Outside the JUSCO, killing time and watching people arrive to work/mothers grocery shop. I'm usually covered in sweat by the time I get here so I like to cool down before I go to work.

Don't want to go in looking like a sweaty hog(;´Д`)

Most of the schools are inside of JUSCOs and AEON shopping centers, but students comes from so far out sometimes. I have students that live in Osaka but come to Nara classes, or students that live in Nara but attend school in Kyoto. In general, most of my students live out in the country, so JUSCOs and AEON malls are about as fancy as they get.

The station, waiting for the train home. It's so dark by the time I start heading home, I'm ready to just eat and sleep. But it's nice and quiet, I like that sometimes.

SHOPPIN
G!!
This next bit is just a few photos from a recent shopping trip. Crazy summer sales going on everywhere, Shocchan got to enjoy a nice shopping spree at Comme Ca Ism, shoes, a jacket and a shirt for about $100 bucks. I'm happy he actually picked out something he wanted to buy for once (he never wants to by clothes, he sports a otaku really) and it was something that actually looked good. I think I'm actually starting inspire him to dress better. So happy~~(´▽’)アッハン

But this image has nothing to do with Comme Ca Ism lol. This is me shopping for bags, and now regretting that I didn't buy this one. I don't really need a new bag, but who ever really needs a new bag, it's just nice to have. Never know when you might need it..? That's my rationale,
and I'm sticking to it
┐(´―`;)┌フゥ~ッ

This is the bag shop I was wandering through. They had a really nice selection of handbags, totes and even some fashionable luggage. Those sale signs are just taunting me now lol Best time to shop in Japan is off-season, truly~

Some yukata displays at ...a shop lol. By this time, a lot of yukata were going on sale, but there's so many pieces to buy, you could still spend $200 easy on one set and all the accessories. This translucent bow was really popular at festivals this year with junior high and high school girls, lots of gal bling too~

I also went through the Disney store. I think I'll be a Disney fangirl on by deathbed, with Aladdin sheets and a Beauty and the Beast stationery set, writing my last will and testament. But it's something I've known since I was a child (I still remember dressing like Jasmine for Halloween in Kindergarten after seeing the movie that year), and it's pretty much the same no matter what country you're in.
Disney is my universal constant LOL.

I also made Shocchan promise I could come here for my birthday
and go on a shopping spree.ヽ(´ー`)ノ .:*:・'゚☆。.:*:・'゚★。.:*

Do these items look like these you'd give your 8 year old cousin??
I think you know the answer to that lol. Disney is so fashionable in Japan~~

I have no idea what the bow is for, it comes on a long chain, but there's a hoop on the bow that has a hook to attach it to your cellphone, but then what do you do with the chain after the bow is on your phone?? I just want the bow... (σ゚∀゚)σ

And I like big framed sunglasses~ The color is nice and would fit with a few items I've acquired recently. Damn, now I really wish I'd bought it..

And now on the the last leg of this post, FOOD!┐(´ー`)┌

I went out to eat at a tiny Italian place in my city called Pizzeria la Montagna. It's a small cafe that also has a bread shop. The food is, of course, Italian-themed so they have your standard pastas and pizzas. But whats really nice about this place is the パン食べ放題, which, like nomihoudai, is all you can eat bread.

For crazy carb lovers like me, this place is great!(;´▽`)y-~~

I hope you can get a nice idea of the atmosphere of this place from this photo.
It's pretty well lit, there are large windows that open to a small patio area with extra seating but it was pretty hot that day so everyone was inside. The place isn't so big, probably not more than 15 tables, so if you get there too late, you have to wait for a bit. The bread shop is off to the back, and they also have some pastries too.

Here's what I ordered, which was the lunch special with all you can eat bread. The bread was really good! So was the pizza and salad, and it all cost about $12 bucks. I also got a large chocolate shu cream puff, but I ate it before I could take a picture(=´ω`=; The desert was included in the special with a drink too.

Overall, a great deal, awesome service, though we did have to wait for a little. We could hardly eat all of our food though (I think we got full from the bread..) but I guess this place didn't do take out boxes since my mother-in-law was trying to get me to eat everything (I also think she has an agenda to make me gain a little weight(´Д`)y-~フゥー lol)

I wish I could write more, but it's so hot just sitting here at the computer...
(´Д`υ)アツィ
When I get the energy to post, the next one will be about the recent fireworks festival we had in my town. It featured over 3000 fireworks, but we spent most of time waiting in line to take purikura in our jinbei
Σ( ̄□ ̄lll)!! That experience really made me wish students had a curfew..!!
I'm also putting together a small guide for using the Kintetsu Railway system. It's a little different from the JR (which I can use easy-peasy!(´ー`)y-~~), especially with it comes to the Express, Semi-express, Sub-Rapid Express, Rapid Express and Limited Express. I think I'm missing one.. Anyway, I'm collecting photos for that and I'm still collecting food photos for my post about snacks and home-cooked meals. Nom-noms guaranteed~

I've also been posting some photos that I don't show here on my tumblr. The tumblr is all photos, and no talking if thats what you prefer (don't worry, I'm not offended
(・_・。)グスン  lol), so check it out if you like. It's updated pretty often. I've also been arting a lot more (which makes for a lack of updates here), so if you'd like to check that out, I've got links up on the top of this journal ;P

LOVE carbs haha and shopping!!! Jusco has awesome finds for cheap! You are so cute and small, so you can fit Japanese fashions. I have trouble getting one boob into tops, much less two lol!
